Provost & Pritchard Appoints two new vice presidents; names new office managers

FRESNO, CA:  Provost & Pritchard announced the appointment of two new vice presidents to better serve their eight offices in Central California.  Keith Mortensen, PE and Alex Collins, PE were promoted to their new positions after demonstrating strong leadership qualities and dedication to clients and the firm. In addition to the new vice presidents, Joe Hopkins, PE and Dena Traina, PE, ENV SP, were named office managers for the Los Banos and Merced offices respectively.

 

“Keith and Alex are exceptional leaders and project managers at Provost & Pritchard,” said Ronald Samuelian, president of the firm.  “They take the initiative to enhance the firm’s service areas to better serve our clients and will be responsible for helping to oversee the day-to-day operations of each of their respective groups.  Joe and Dena have considerable experience within their respective regions and will help lead the effort to continue to grow those locations.”

 

Mortensen serves as one of the firm’s key water treatment experts and has over 12 years of experience in the design of water treatment and water resource projects. He has worked on numerous design projects related to 1,2,3-trichloropropane (TCP). In his role as vice president, he will oversee the firm’s water treatment and construction management groups.

 

Collins has been with firm since 2006, specializing in water resources engineering, hydraulic analysis and construction management. His experience includes design of water control structures, pump stations, pipelines, recharge basins, and telemetry improvements.  He will serve as the vice president of the firm’s Modesto office while continuing to work with the water resources staff in Clovis.

 

Hopkins, who will oversee the Los Banos office, is a principal engineer registered in both civil and agricultural engineering. He has experience with water supply solutions and infrastructure improvements for agricultural and municipal clients.  Most recently his efforts have focused on helping clients comply with the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA).

 

Traina is a principal engineer with more than 35 years of experience and will oversee the firm’s newest office in Merced. Her experience includes a vast range of civil engineering and structural design for a wide variety of projects.  She has most recently been involved in the UC Merced 2020 campus expansion.
